About Us

Moose Meals was an idea sparked by COVID. With all of the panic, and shortage of food in the stores I wanted to be prepared for anything. I wanted to be able to stock up on food, be able to store it, and not have to worry about it going bad.
So I looked into buying freeze-dried food. I quickly found out that there are quite a few companies that sell freeze-dried meals. But these companies had the same types of food. I wanted something a little different. I wanted comfort food.

Being a Colorado native I have grown up on green chili and there was no way I can live without it. The other item I wanted was my grandma's potato soup. So I started researching what it would take to make my own and I found out more than what I was looking for.

In my research, I also found that freeze-drying is healthier than dehydrated food. I have also found more uses than just being prepared. Freeze-dried food is a huge time, space, and weight saver when you go camping. Another is kids LOVE the fruit, and even a fruit smoothie with veggies mixed in is a great snack for little ones.

After all of my research, I started to think about how many people this idea could really help. So, I jumped in and started Moose Meals. I bought my own machine and started cooking and drying. I am excited that I can share the love, stability, and peace of mind with my customers.
